Happy Friday, loves. Luckily the weekend has come quick and I’m giving myself another Monday off from work because we have a friend’s wedding on Sunday! The wedding ceremony is outdoors so I’ll definitely be swooning over all the fall foliage.
As I mentioned last Friday and earlier this week (maybe I was a bit excited) I visited my sister and family in Massachusetts last weekend. We went apple picking on Saturday and obviously that called for lots of photo’s. Honestly, anytime I’m with my niece and nephew I lose another gigabyte of storage on my phone. There’s so much cuteness to document! We brought Max along for the weekend which he was way too excited about. Max spent lots (read: all) of his time licking my nephew. Who can resist baby scent?! Anyways, I’m so happy we got to the orchards in time to actually pick some apples this year. Last year was a bust as we went way too late in the season and the tree’s were practically bare. This year was way better and the tree’s were filled with the biggest apples I’ve ever seen. I can’t say whether any subsequent visitors will have any apples to pick because I’m pretty sure my niece ate a few bites out of every apple she could get her little hands on.
Of course with apple picking comes baking. We made these (served a la mode, obviously) which were easy to bake, pretty AND delicious. I have a ton of apples leftover so if you have any good recipes please share!
